Nextar Q4-05

Specifications

Os

Windows CE 5.0 Core, per Q4-family firmware labeling. The requester describes this unit as a Destinator variant shipping with Destinator navigation software instead of Nextar's own interface; that could not be independently confirmed. Public sources document Destinator on Nextar Q4 hardware only as a user-installed replacement OS (e.g. Destinator 9 flashed onto a Q4-06), which is the better-documented pattern, so a factory-installed Destinator load on the Q4-05 remains unverified.

Maps

Preloaded SD card with maps of the 50 US states and roughly 1.6 million points of interest, matching the wider Q4 line's Tele Atlas-sourced data; exact coverage for the Q4-05 batch is not separately documented

Ports

Mini-USB · SD card slot (full-size) · 3.5mm headphone jack · DC power in

Battery

Built-in rechargeable Li-ion, about 2.5 hours of use per charge and about 3.5 hours to recharge, per the shared Nextar Q4 owner's manual

Display

4.3-inch resistive TFT touchscreen; exact pixel resolution not publicly documented for this unit (comparable Q4-family 4.3-inch units are commonly listed at 480x272)

Storage

SD card slot (full-size), shipped with a preloaded card; internal flash otherwise reserved for firmware

Receiver

Not publicly documented: Nextar did not publish GPS chipset details for the Q4 family

Connectivity

None documented: no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi; USB is for data and firmware transfer only

Release Price
