Nintendo 3DS XLSPR-0012012 large-screen model: top screen 4.88-inch, bottom 4.18-inch (both roughly 90% larger area than the original), improved battery life (approx. 3.5-7 hours with 3D on). Same CPU and RAM as the original 3DS.
Nintendo 2DSFTR-0012013 budget model in a single-piece, non-folding slate shape. Drops the autostereoscopic 3D display entirely (games run in 2D only) but is otherwise the same internal hardware as the original 3DS.
New Nintendo 3DSRED-001 · JAN-0012014 revision with a faster ARM11 quad-core CPU clocked up to 804 MHz and more RAM (256 MB FCRAM), face-tracking 3D that keeps the effect visible off-angle, a second analog stick ("C-Stick"), extra shoulder buttons (ZL/ZR), amiibo NFC support, and a larger New Nintendo 3DS XL variant. The CPU and RAM upgrade is a materially different SoC from the original 3DS, folded in here as a model variant per project convention.
